The consignment invoice is used to bill a consignee following the sale of the consignor’s product. The business selling the merchandise for the seller will usually take a percentage of the sale, often it is around a fifty-fifty split between the two parties. Once one or more items have sold, the seller will provide the business with the invoice to describe the amount owed for each item sold as well as any applicable taxes and discounts. The consignee will have the number of days indicated on the invoice to provide the consignor with their share of the profits.
