Download the legal (attorney/lawyer) invoice template to request payment for legal services. Use the invoice to record most any type of legal service, from filing forms and taking depositions to consulting and research and writing. Be clear when describing the services so the client understands what’s being charged for.

Step 2 – At the top, enter the name of your law office followed by its contact information. Then enter the invoice number and date of invoice below this.
Step 3 – Bill To – Here, write the client’s name and contact information. To the right, describe the case or legal matter specifically enough to identify it.
Step 4 – Table – For each separate service involved in working for the client on this case, enter a new row in the table. E.g., questioning witnesses in one row and preliminary hearing in another row. Include the date and price of each service, then enter their totals to the right.
